Opportunities with Senior Fellow
25 beta-testers required for grant making website
One of our Senior Fellows is the principal in a firm that provides management assistance and consulting services to non-profits. They are currently looking to recruit 25 individuals to help test a new grantmaking website for the City of Vernon. The activity will take 90 minutes and participants will receive a $50 voucher for Target. Participants need to be available for the full session as feedback is required after the testing.
The City of Vernon, which will soon launch a community grants fund, is testing a new, more user-friendly system for on-line grant applications. As they need to test the capacity of the system, we are recruiting 25 individuals to all use the site all at the same time by uploading a mock grant application (all the information will be given to you). An e-mail account and street address with zip code allows beta testers to log-in and receive instructions. Uploading a full application takes approximately 45 – 60 minutes and there is a 30 minute focus group session to provide feedback based on users’ experience.
You will need to bring your own laptop and use your e-mail address to participate. Laptops can also be hired at the library
If you are interested in pursuing a career in the nonprofit sector, with a grantmaking foundation or government body, this activity will give you insight into understanding the grant application process as well as the information required of nonprofits seeking funds.
LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!!
If you RSVP, you will receive further information by email on whether you have been selected or are on the wait list.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
